Privacy Policy

Privacy Policy

How this website handles information relating to visitors and to those who send enquiries.

Last updated: 28 October 2026. This policy is a draft prepared for the Chamber’s review and should be confirmed before the website is published.

1. Scope

This policy applies to the website of B.P. & Associates at bpassociateslegal.in. It describes the information the website collects, how that information is used, and the choices available to you. It does not govern information exchanged in the course of an engagement, which remains subject to the Chamber’s professional obligations of confidentiality.

2. Information collected

Enquiries. If you use the enquiry form, the website collects your name, email address, telephone number (if provided), the category selected and your message. If you contact the Chamber by email or telephone, the Chamber receives the information you choose to share.

Browser storage. When you accept the disclaimer, a record of the date of acceptance is stored in your own browser (local storage) so that you are not asked again for thirty days. This record is not transmitted to the Chamber. The website does not use advertising or analytics cookies.

Technical information. As with most websites, the server hosting this site may record basic technical information, such as IP address, browser type and the pages requested, for security and operational purposes.

Please do not submit sensitive personal data, identity documents, financial credentials or case documents through the website.

3. Purposes of collection

  • To respond to your enquiry and to determine whether the Chamber is able to assist.
  • To check for conflicts of interest before any engagement.
  • To keep the website secure and functioning properly.

Information received through enquiries is not sold, rented or used for marketing.

4. Email and telephone communications

The Chamber may respond to an enquiry by email or telephone using the details you provide. Ordinary email is not a fully secure means of communication. Where confidential material must be exchanged, an appropriate method will be agreed once an engagement is in place.

5. Third-party services

  • Website hosting, by the provider on which the site is deployed, which processes technical request data in order to serve the pages.
  • Google Fonts, which supplies the typefaces used on the site. Your browser requests the fonts from Google’s servers, which receive your IP address.
  • Form delivery service. Once the enquiry form is activated, submissions are transmitted through a third-party form service to the Chamber’s email inbox. The name of that service will be stated here when it is configured.
  • Email providers used by the Chamber for the addresses listed on the Contact page.

6. Data retention

Enquiries are retained only for as long as is necessary to respond, to check for conflicts and to meet any legal or professional obligation. Enquiries that do not lead to an engagement are reviewed periodically and deleted when no longer required.

7. Security measures

The website is served over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection. It does not store enquiries in a database of its own, and access to the Chamber’s inbox is restricted. No method of transmission over the internet is entirely secure.

8. Access and correction

You may ask the Chamber to inform you of the information it holds from your enquiry, to correct it, or to delete it, subject to any legal or professional obligation to retain it. Requests may be sent to the email address below.

9. Applicable legal requirements

The Chamber intends to handle personal information in accordance with applicable Indian law, including the Information Technology Act, 2000, and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, together with the rules made under it as they come into effect. This policy will be updated as required.
